Blumen!! God brought him to this world on 5th Dec 1989, and He grew him up to be an exceptionally gifted young lad in sports and music. He did his schooling in Ewart and Don Bosco and continued his college education in Loyola and MCC. He was a track athlete, a state record holder, a University gold medalist and a national level silver medalist in the 400m sprint. Blumen had always been one to push his physical limits. He also was passionate about music and used God given talents on most instruments.
Blumen was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), a kind of blood cancer, on December, 2014 when he was working as an HR in Sutherland.
He had his stem cell transplant done on Dec, 2017. He moved on to continue his life, living for Christ, working in mission fields of North India with the grand old book, the Bible and his musical instruments. He never failed to overcome these years of difficulties with his Holy Spirit driven willpower and blind faith on Jesus and prayers from family and friends.
He was doing well on Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors (TKI), a kind of oral targeted chemotherapy till his relapse on October, 2020. Since then, He has been trying to cope up with the disease with improved TKI and DLI and a few other procedures/medications.
He entered a very challenging phase of unstoppable bone pain, since November 2022. In January 2023, it has been diagnosed that the disease is back, much progressive this time, with growing blast cells in his blood and marrow.
Another transplant has been concluded as the only hope and we are in search of a matching stem cell donor. We would appreciate you help in praying for him. We would also appreciate support physically, emotionally and financially.
